I got the XL one too, and when I tried it out, I ordered the Mini one for classes.

I have one and find it very helpful for projects where there are lots of strips or squares to cut. There are also markings for other angles and shapes. Realize it's set up for 1/2" increments, and requires repositioning of fabric to get anything at 1/4" sizes. GE Designs has a lot of videos; I'd recommend watching the Stripology XLruler video to learn more before spending the $$. For me, it was worth the price.

I did not like the June Taylor strip cutter. The acrylic was wobbly and I'd end up with crooked strips. I LOVE the Stripology. I got rid of my Accuquilt Go! and all dies as they took up a lot of room, the cutter was heavy, and the Stripology cuts straight shapes better for me.

I love my Stripology ruler - worth every penny. Also have several June Tailor rulers - good but not as stable as Stripology.

It is also very helpful when sub cutting strata. I find it stays in place very well and doesn't not slip so cuts are accurate and it is larger than my old June Taylor one.
Like you, I do not have all the strip cutting dies for my Accuquilt Go! and am not likely to either. I did find the ruler a bit difficult to use and did not find it worth the money for the ruler. I mastered sub cuts quickly with the Accuquilt. I find I only use the 1 1/2", the 2 1/2", and the 3 1/2" strips.

I love my stripology ruler, I have it in two sizes. However I don't know if I'd use it for making this pattern.

I have several stripology rulers. They're okay-better and more sturdy than the ones that Joann's and Walmart sells. Watch the videos for them-they show a ton of ways to use them. I like the smallest one the best.
