Default Strips Roll Question

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone has ever sewn extra scrap strips together at the short ends to make a roll. If so, what did you do with it, and how did it turn out?

I'm thinking of sewing all of my scraps together for use with crumb blocks.

Here's a recent post. I think this is what you are asking?

aha - I interpreted the original post differently. I thought you were asking about adding small scrap strips to the ends of normal jelly roll strips.

Some of my strips were jelly row strips and other 2 1/2 inch strips I saved. It work out good on my non jelly roll strip quilt which is in the picture I posted on my recent post. I pressed all the seams the same way when i finished. I have not sandwiched or quilted yet. I pressed each t section open as I sewed. You don't have to do this extra step because they don't stay that way when you press the long seams. Good luck and it does work.

If you have really small pieces, some are sewing them to the adding machine paper. Just a suggestion.

That's what I thought, too. Her question was easier than I thought.

Great answer.

Yes this! My husband does this and there is a tute from some one on the board that explains how to do it and shows examples of how to use it in quilts. It is great. DH does this and says he is making fabric for me.
