You are hooked now....Enjoy, I had sewed for years but not quilting...Made wedding gowns etc. But the joy of making that first swap block and feeling like I did good, was awesome....now I am working on my first real quilt...so much fun...and it is because of the great people on this board...thanks all of you who take time to comment, encourage, send fabric, things of inspriation, thank you

I've been quilting and making special things for most of my life (now 76, but don't tell). Still find the quilt room my refuge from all of life's trials. A wonderful place to go and think your own thoughts, make up your own patterns, make special gifts for those you love. One year we lost a grandson, a son, and a great grandson. It was a horrible year and I found solace in my sewing and quilting. A place to go and grieve, to remember the special times with each of those we lost, and to just love those that are still with us through soft quilts and special gifts. You will never regret the time you spend sewing and quilting. Enjoy! Enjoy!
