I have pieced my first official quilt block :-D I had pieced a top before (25 years ago, never quilted) but it was patchwork, just squares sewn together in rows. This is a BOM in alternate fabrics (I wanted to practice on something first before I cut and sew the ones in the BOM kit) The big triangles are from the bolt I got on Super Bolt Sunday and the rest are a gift from a local quilting buddy/teacher who showed me today how to cut and sew together correctly. Same friend gave me a packet of fat 8ths she saw that reminded her of some fat qtrs I picked up on Super Bolt Sunday, isn't that just the sweetest!
