Faceplate on Old Sewing Machine

Can anyone identify the "K" faceplate on this sewing machine ?

It indicates it was manufactured in the Kilbowie, Clydebank, Scotland plant. THe plant was opened in 1884 with 1,000,000 square feet and 7000 workers who produced 13,000 machines a week. Wow!

That is a very pretty faceplate.

A 'Singer' plate is attached to the front, which I've never seen before.
