Looks like you already have some great ideas. My first thought was the tumbler block. As long as you use all shades and patterns in the green fabrics would be pretty. Good luck and please share when you are working on it.

Wow! So many great ideas and I appreciate every one of them. Lots to think about. And Soccertxi, all green isn't my first choice but this is my only granddaughter (lots of grandsons) so what can I say! Sheltie'smama, I confess I don't know what you are referring to; is there a link? Thanks again for all the ideas. I will keep you posted.

How about a Jacob's ladder? Just 4 patches and HST's.

My first thought was a double or triple Irish chain, using light green for the background and medium to dark for the scrappy patches.

How about a Bargello? I think they always look great when they are monochromatic going from light to dark values on a single color. Especially on the twist and turn styles.

Here is a green Bargello that might inspire you...or a puzzle quilt. The Bargello I got free online...Serenity Bargello. It should be googable. I sort of changed it a bit, but it is the pattern I started with. I don't recall where I got the puzzle quilt, but it could be copied fairly easily. It is made of fat quarters, or at least this one was. It has 9 blocks with the pieces just rearranged differently.

All green is not my favorite either, but it can be pretty!

These green quilts are absolutely stunning - I find it hard to believe they are one color quilts!
