Hi Eiltcoq, where did you see the butterfly quilt? Do you have the pattern or know where I can get it? One of my favorite things is butterflies and would love to try it also with the 30's fabric.
Whatever you call people that love old things (maybe nostalgic), I am one of them

I am also looking for something to do with mine. I do have the egg money book, I'm thinking maybe a sampler quilt. There are some really cute blocks in the egg money, I really like the sea shell and the butterfly in that book. We shall see, I've had the stack of fabrics for a while now, I guess I'll play with them some more. Nothing has jumped out at me yet.

LeeAnn, your quilts are gorgeous - those dresses are just adorable!

This is a crib quilt I made when I was first starting to get the hang of free-motion quilting without marking, so don't look at the wobbles.

I like the strips of flying geese because they're versatile and give you lots of options for quilting different designs. If you make the strips between them wide enough, you can applique vines and flowers on them - I know I've seen a pattern for this on the web, but I can't find it now.

I have even seen a lovely one in a local quilt shop that is 9-patches alternating with snowball blocks. I really like the simplicity of it. Don't think you can make a bad 30's quilt lol.
