Default Superior Thread 'Brytes' question

Superior Thread Brytes - This was a gift and not my usual brand. As I stitch with this thread on the LA, it untwists. Regularly, I need to stop and manually advance the thread thru the needle to get past a particularly twisted mess. I'm almost finished this quilt, and it looks fine, but I know I will not purchase this style?/brand. I guess my question is whether this thread unsuited for quilting.

Checked on line and I see it isn't available anymore, maybe that is one of the reasons? Here is a link to where I found that info. https://www.superiorthreads.com/vide...needham/brytes

I'm wondering if it was wound differently. I'm thinking that rather than unspooling vertically using a thread stand it was meant to be used as a horizontal thread where the spool would rotate???

I'll try the horizontal feed but it is a large cone.
Thanks

MaryKatherine - this shouldn't be happening. Our Brytes thread line was rebranded to our So Fine! #30 thread line (https://www.superiorthreads.com/thread/so-fine-30).

Will you please email us at [email protected] with a few more details? If you can snap a photo with your camera phone showing us the untwisting, it will help us troubleshoot.

Happy New Year!

The quick response by Superior Threads is one of the reasons I have a huge collection of their fantastic thread. Another is the wonderful array of colours. Not to mention I've never had problems with any of the various lines. Oh! Don't forget to shop their sales! BTW, I'm a happy customer and not affiliated with S.T. in any way.
