This is how I feel when I see my quilts or tutorials on Pinterest. Someone out there found my work inspiring, interesting, or helpful. Not a bad thing at all.

And it is easy to copy pictures from one site or another. Unless the site locks the images, anyone can copy them.

Messy site. Looked once and won't bother again. Prefer bookmarks.

I love Pinterest...and pin quilt pictures and a lot of other things. I haven't pinned too many from the Quiltboard-those I usually bookmark. I hope that people consider it complementary to see their quilts pinned...it would be to me. There are a few sites I like that have the pictures blocked...they can't be pinned, or copied. That is their right too.

I love Pinterest. It's fantastic to see wonderful creative ideas all in one place. It use to take years for an idea to reach all over but now it only takes minutes. That to me is the amazing part.

Yes this! I would also take it as a compliment. Several of mine are on pintrest.

I do love Pintrest as there are so many fun ideas and creative ways people do things. I too am fully aware that anything that goes to the internet is OUT there but have decided to be very selective with what I share. If someone wants the info bad enough, they will find it.

I'm having to block Pinterest from searches. I look for a pattern, a Pinterest site comes up and no information about where to buy the pattern. That annoys me no end. I only search when I want to BUY an article.
If you want to link to a pattern picture, then the maker of the pattern should demand that you also post where to buy it or find the info. If it's your own design, say so.
