On my MacBook, I hold down the option key and press zero for degree and for the cents symbol - hold down the option key and press the dollar sign (number 4). º¢¢º

º¢ Looks like mine only works on the keypad. Thanks so much for sharing- I always knew there was lots more to know about this computer- but I don't know what to ask!!

OK - now I need some help --- when I tried this my screen went to totally full and all my stuff on the top has disappeared (I can't get out of this screen the normal way). HELP! HELP! HELP! How can I turn it back to the way it was???
