 What a great Christmas gift for the daughter. You are a really nice person to do this for her. Yes, it's refreshing to hear about a quilt that was so carefully taken care of - so many aren't. Have a great day and be sure to post a photo when you are finished.

Beautiful story. A couple of years ago, I secretly got a quilt that my daughter had started 15 years ago and took it to my house and finished it, had it quilted and put on binding for Christmas. She was so pleased and I know this young woman will be thrilled.

What a wonderful story and aren't you the lucky one to be part of it. Enjoy the finishing and the giving.

Tell your MIL to take a picture of the surprise if she can. Then you can somewhat share the moment. If not, I'm sure you'll get a warm fuzzy feeling just hearing about her reaction. Any quilter can appreciate the loving gift this will be.

Oh how wonderful! Someone should video the surprise. I think the young woman would appreciate that memory too. It's a sweet thing that you are doing.
