    Default Tempered Glass for Lightbox

Missouri Star is offering this to use with my lightbox. Interesting! It is 12"x16". It would be handy for fusible projects. Any feedback from your experience?

I have the cutterpillar light. One thing about the glass mat is that the gridded lines are a nuisance for me. I ordered the clear glass mat for it. I soon found out I needed two, one for tracing and one for cutting as cut marks show up under the light. The rotary cutter leaves cut marks that show up on the mat under the light . I use mine for paper piecing more then for tracing

I bought my CutterpPillar years ago at the Houston quilt show. It came with the glass mat. So far I haven't used it, but I don't use fusibles very often. I haven't used the light box very much either, but when I do need it it's invaluable.

My lightboxes are my glass top dining room table and one on the patio. I think the grid would annoy the hell out of me.

The mats are made for cutting using a rotary cutter for the light box. It not glass though but translucent. The glass one can be used to press with iron so I was told and not for rotary cutting. I tried cutting on tempered glass before and ruined a blade in one cut.

one came with my light flat tablet thingie, and I have yet to find it useful for anything. I seldom use fusibles either except for collage, but when lining things up I used a folded piece of waxed paper folded corner to corner so I can see center.
