    Oh what a good idea! I even have some of these in my kitchen that are barely used...I kind of hate them as cutting boards, LOL.

    annt59-I didn't get them at a dollar store, I got them at our local Ace hardware store.

    Just home from Dollar Tree...picked up a pack of 2 - 11" x 14" plastic. Thank you again for posting this information.

    I will need to check our Dollar Tree. I do have X-ray films too but I forgot I could use them for templates.

    I've used plastic milk cartons when the size of the template needed was smaller than the side of the carton.

    The folks on here are soooo smart and ingenious about using these they have or things the dollar stores have. In the past when you cut templates for everything I used X-rays that were over exposed. Thanks for sharing.

    I also use these ...plastic cuts easily...they are great and cheaper than the "real" plastic...
