Question Template Use Question

When using templates to trace parts of quilt blocks, do you trace on wrong side of fabric or on the right side? I have never used templates before and I am confused. TIA

Trace on the wrong side of fabric so you don’t see any marks when you sew the pieces together. Be careful of tracing pieces that have to go in a certain direction as sometimes you need to flip over the template to get the pieces going in the right direction when flipped to the right side.

Thanks, Tartan. After I posted the question, I realized this was a "duh" moment and I knew the answer. Ah, getting old is getting in the way of my quilting.

Thanks for asking this. I was just wondering that myself! If its not 2-D or on a screen, I get lost very quickly!
