Does anyone have a good filing system for their templates? I trace the patten onto a clear plastic sheet, then cut it out. When I have all the pieces cut out and fabric cut, I stick the templates in an envelope and stash it somewhere, hoping I'll remember where I stashed it when I want to reuse the templates.

I saw an episode on tv where she found some great decorative tins or something like that and put all her templates patterns ect in them. She first put them in an envelope with the name of the pattern and stored them.

How about putting them in one of the clear paper sheet savers and putting them in a notebook. Pattern and all.

I use a 3-ring binder with a zipper and clear pocket inserts to protect my patterns and templates. It keeps them all in one place, neat, clean & I can see through the pockets for ease of finding what I want. Works great!!

I have a binder with the plastic sleeve pages & I put a copy of the pattern & the templates in a sleeve page along with a note on how much fabric was used; type of batting, etc.

I keep all of my templates in a see thru plastic bag with a zipper that pillow cases came in. That way they are all together in a safe place.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Never thought of a plastic sleeve album and also putting a photo of pattern & yardage used. That will be my weekend, organization of templates
