I don't know what kind of surgery you had but in my kidney and heart doctors offices someone has done a wall hanging of either a heart or kidney. On the heart they marked where their particular problem was with wording and lines. They then signed and dated it with a great big THANK YOU! The wall hangings were approc 18" x 24". I do like the idea of a mug rug.
