Though I have never made a quilt, I've had my rotary cutter and other supplies for quite a while. Many thanks for posting about the cheap blades at Harbor Freight. I just placed my first order. I was totally surprised at how cheap the shipping is. I got 100 single edge razor blades and 4 rotary cutting blades and it. was less than $10.

That was what I was going to ask. They don't work in the rotary cutters, you need round ones for those.

I have wanted to quilt for ages, but never could bring myself to cut the fabric because I was always afraid of messing up. Fast forward 12 years and 4 more boys (I have 5) later, Walmart has all of this fabric on clearance. I threw a bunch in my cart and decided to go for it. I have decided to attempt the Faux Cathedral Window. It looks simple enough. Tomorrow is my cutting day. As for the single edge blades, they are cleaning the cook top. Yuck!
