Help me out with quilting this
Hi every one
I,m getting ready to quilt this top and I am not any good at free hand quilting so all my quilting has to be using the walking foot.
What i,m wondering should i match up my threat to each square i,m quilting ?
Or just do it all in one color . Just i,m a little nervous about taking away from the 3D affects of the block .
Thanks
So glad you guys are here to help me learn .

I'm not an expert by any means, but I would do vertical lines, unevenly spaced, with the dark blue thread. I don't think it will take anything away from your lovely quilt. It is a vey nice modern quilt, so I would use a modern quilting style.

There are good variegated quilting thread out there, see if you can find one that matches your dark colors and I agree with Feathers, quilt a modern style.
Here is a link to a good match thread

Beautiful quilt deserves a beautiful quilt design.
Good luck

Hard for me to draw with my computer but hopefully this will give you an idea, my lines are in black. I would use a fine thread like invisifil http://www.softexpressions.com/softw...ads/WNInvF.php so you don't see the thread, just the texture left behind. The beauty of Invisifil is it seems to mimic the color fabric it is quilted on. so maybe the gray color.

Great top! I would use orange in the orange diamonds and grey or med. blue in the blue diamonds. I would follow the chevrons in the blue like felinefanatic has drawn but I would do the same in the orange until the lines meet in the center.
