Please quess how old.
A friend picked this up at the second hand store. Any ideas how old the pattern and fabric are? Looks like there is enough fabric to finish the quilt. $5.00 lucky find.
Thanks,

What a great find! and only 5.00 you are so lucky! Think this is from the late 50's or early 40's nice fabric..

According to this source:

the Alice Brooks byline started in 1933. Fan quilts were extremely popular in the 1930's, and this Alice Brooks pattern is an interesting variation with the unusual scallops.
The fabrics to me look like 40's and 50's. However, peoples' stashes can included fabrics that stretch for several decades.

I'd say 1930's. This is the first time I've seen that pattern made that way, with two fabrics used to make one fan. Very sweet $5 find! If there are not enough fabrics there to complete the top, it would be best to find similar reproductions for the new blocks.
