Right on, Mlaceruby. Some years ago I was commissioned to make a king sized quilt in peach and seafoam green (similar to lime green). I had to bribe myself to make, assemble and border the blocks. I quilted the least amount I could because I almost became physically ill looking at the quilt. However, the owner LOVED IT, sent me photos of it on her bed and related all the compliments she received....I still hated the colors. Belles

I am sooo different than most of you! I Love yellow, orange and purple. some pinks. I really like bright colors.
The colors i don't like is dull colors, and the older shades of green. But I do agree as you get older your tastes change so much. I have alot more green in my stash than I used to.
I am making a quilt now out of forrest green, cranberry and navy blue. It is all i can do to work on it. but i want to get it out of my house.
Hey Arty 1 your mom and my grandmother must have been related. Almost every room in my grandparents house was I would call a hot pink. I do believe the kitchen was yellow then painted green.

Not so much a color, but high contrast is my nemesis.

I like just about any color in a quilt, especially a scrappy quilt. But what I really don't like is pastels. I've seen other quilters use pastels and they usually look lovely, but I personally wouldn't like to work with them. They put me to sleep. Even my baby quilts are never pastel.
Just a personal oddness, I guess. 8-)
