These two fabrics make me dizzy
#1
I dont know what to do. My son picked out these for a quilt along with about 10 other fabrics. I've been putting off making the quilt because every time I try to cut these or iron them I get dizzy and sick feeling. So again this morning I decide to work on this quilt, I just finished ironing the white one and my eyes hurt and I feel just awful. Theres two more fabrics in this quilt he wants that do the same thing. Any suggestions on how to use these fabrics and not die in the process?

I'm not sure what pattern you are using, but could you use solid black fabric between these or around them? That would let your eyes rest a little when you are piecing by giving you a "spacer" between the fabric patterns.
P.S.-----Those fabrics are really cool, though!

LOL....there are a lot of quilts made with the "psycedlic" (sp) fabrics. I thing something no larger than a 5" pieced block, sashed with a lime, red, yellow...that would surely help to break it up some! good luck!

I have the same problem with fabrics doing that to me too. I seem to stay away from them if they play with my eyes. There is a casino I go to during the winter for bowling. They have carpet that does the same thing to me.
