I did Safe Haven and it was wonderful. The quilt was later raffled for my son's Australia trip and raised $2,000. I got all the blocks from a friend who got them all and changed her mind. They have enough fabric in case you make a boo boo and I went to my LQS and found a bag of scarps for $5.00, enough to make a queen size 9 patch. Their colors are great.

I made the Thimbleberries pattern called Peony Park several years ago. The pattern was very easy to understand and it went together like a dream.

I have done Thimbleberries Block of the Month club for the past two years at my local quilt shop and absolutely love it! Last year's project was Three's Company and this year is Village Green. I love getting together with fellow quilters at the monthly meeting. This month we had a potluck lunch. We have show and tell in which you get points for bringing a project to show and double points for doing the Project of the month. At year end the winner gets a huge bundle of Thimbleberries fabric. Love it and have gotten to know some nice quilters.

I am doing one block but 12 of the same thing for an exchange group I am in here locally. Thimbleberries always look washed out to me so I have never been interested. The gal/quilter who chose this for the exchange wanted civil war type fabrics too. I have fabrics picked but have not started yet as not due until Nov.
