OK,
I am curious to know what color thread to use for an all over mixed jumble of colors quilt top.
I am having trouble deciding on the color of threads to use that do not look obnoxious when I meander/stipple a quilt.
Do I match the backing thread to the bobbin?
Then what color on top? Are there any neutral threads out there?
If I use Sulky invisable (monofilament), will it melt in the dryer?

Scissor Queen

A gray or a sage green both tend to disappear on a lot of fabrics. Or you can use a varigated. I think a varigated thread can help bring a scrappy quilt together.

I agree with using a gray or pale green with alot of colors.
What color is your backing fabric? If its muslin or a lighter color, it might be a good idea to use a tan or light beige in the bobbin.
