I've tried it, but, have never taken a class on it. I did appliqued eagles on a quilt for my DH and threadpainted the faces and wings. I just added alot of detail to the areas I wanted to, and I mean alot. But whether my method is right or wrong, I don't know. To me thread painting is just accentuating a quilt(picture) with thread as opposed to beads or crayons.
