    Thrift Store Fabric Score!

I went thrifting yesterday. I bought 30 yards of fabric for 20.00! All the fabric was 1.00 a yard but some was marked with a + sign to indicate there was a bit more than a yard. When I got it home and unwrapped the bundles it was apparent that someone didn't know how to measure fabric, on some of the smaller pieces they measured across the width. Most that was marked 1 yard + were really 2 yard pieces!

Good for you! Can't wait to see your new projects.
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

I remember those exact words from my mom too. I'm sure I've said them to our kids a time or two.

Nice find. I've bought fabric at 1 of the local thrift shops here and found they have measured it wrong - they'll measure across the width of the fabric and call it a yard. Guess they don't sew and they get in a hurry or just don't pay attention. Have fun with your fabrics.

It is always a good day when you run across something like this. You got a great lot of nice fabric. Recently, I found several yards of white eyelet for less than 4 dollars. The section where the fabric might be stored is my first hit at the thrift stores.

Lucky girl, we NEVER find anything nice like that in our thrift stores here. Although I have found a nice plaid/striped mens shirts now and then that ended up in my collection
