Ticker Tape Quilt washing
Who has washed their Ticker Tape quilts a lot and what kind of shape are they in?
I have a lot of nursery print scraps that I can fussy cut and would like to try a Ticker tape but I’m worried about the wear and tear and multiple washings of a baby quilt.
What say you?

I've not made one, but judging from the tutorials, etc., the colored patches are similar to raw edge applique. I believe you will get quite a bit of fraying of the colored patches. Maybe someone else can chime in here, but I believe I am correct in my assumption. I love the look of the ticker tapes and will have to make a doll sized one for my granddaughter.

If you put it together like a rag quilt (with xtra wide half inch seams or sewing lines) the fraying becomes part of the fun. You can do one using zig zag stitches or lots of different decorative stitches, to give the blocks extra support, and take a toothbrush to it after the first wash so that it will fray as much as possible early on. I have this on my bucket list.
