Is anyone familiar with the Quilt tie method called "Horse tie".
It looks like a running stitch across a section of a quilt. Tie might be embroidery floss or crochet thread.
At each tie, usually 4 inches, a tie is made. It is kind of like a macrame method putting the thread up and then needle under. Second step is thread down and needle under. The result is a square knot.

I am looking for a pdf or youtube sample.

Interesting the way she starts and stops but I wonder how she starts if your thread only goes part way across a row?

The Crow tie is new to me and looks like a great technique.
I am familiar with Jennie's tie video. She is an inspiration for sure!!

Right now I am doing a modified horse tie but it would be great to be able to learn the complete tie stitch.

I belong to a charity quilt group and they use this method to tie the quilts.
The woman who showed me how to do the tie said she saw it on the internet but I have not been able to find it.
At yesterday's meeting, she and I looked together for Horse Tie Quilting but did not find it. She doesn't use the internet searches much.
They donate to veterans, shelters, children's hospitals etc.
The method is a running stitch, go through w needle and string (or yarn, or crochet cotton thread) all layers of quilt twice, then flip the string up and go through the opening, flip string down and go through opening, repeat.
The method reminds me a bit of macrame. Maybe I should be looking for a macrame tutorial..... It results in a simple square knot.

I followed this piece yesterday and a side "promo" offered instructions from Donna and Matt Jordan. As usual, their tutorial was wonderful, including how to birth a quilt and then close the open end of it.
I liked the close-up of how to tie the knot and the finishing touch of a bit of Fray Check to secure the knot.
Gosh, I miss her. She did excellent demonstrations.
Thanks for the tip about the Crow's Feet tie. I have never seen that but like that it doesn't have a opportunity to come untied as with other methods.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but here is a link to a YouTube video of "hidden tie or international stitch" for tying a quilt. I had an experienced quilter show me this stitch in her queen-sized quilt, and I liked that it did not have the yard tufts.

In my search, I found this one too. I agree sometimes the tuffs can be a distraction.
