I usually make a new bag each year. Sometimes one for summer & one for winter. Right now I'm using the "Wallet & Grommit" bag that I made. It has large grommit for the handles to be attached to. If you decide to make one, I found out that you need to use buckrum (an interfacing for hats) to keep the grommits from pulling out. I made an I Love Lucy tote for my oldest DD. She's a bagaholic.

I just can't seem to get around to whip anything out too fast these days. Must have spring fever. How is that for a good excuse for being lazy?

I firmly believe in spring fever. In fact I too have a pretty bad case of it.

Are you in the same bagless boat?

Or

Are you whipping them out faster than quilts and table runners?
I've made tons of bags - kept a few for myself but have given most of them away. I think they are fun to make and that everyone should make at least one bag to keep for themselves!

I make my own pocketbooks also. I really the pattern called Convert-Able because the inside piece is removable, so you just need to make outside pieces to change every once in a while.

Love this post. I like to look at all the bags/purses that everyone has made. I just ordered a pattern today for one.

I recently picked up a few patterns for bags - maybe I can get to them NEXT month.

I did bags a while ago, so I already have a good stock, but I do love making them.
But I feel the same way about knitting, by the time I finish a sweater it is out of style.
