Default Tip when designing or drawing by hand

Just thought I would share this if you haven't tried it yet; if you are drawing your own design, layout; or applique by hand I found that using the fabric markers that disappear with warm iron come in so handy! I hated trying to erase or crumple up one sheet of paper after another, this way if line is in wrong place just iron it out and re-draw; you don't have to iron out all of it just what you don't like.

Thanks for the tip. Will give this a try the next time I'm drawing out a quilt.

What brand fabric markers do you use? I was thinking that they might be good for machine embroidery too.

I love my frixion pens! I did this very thing this morning. I found a circular feather design that I want to do on my "airport" purse, but the design was smaller than I needed, so I tried my hand at drawing it out. It turned out very nice, nicely especially since I could erase my boo-boos.

Tip: That little Rubber 'eraser' thing on the end creates enough heat from friction to erase small areas, no need to use big old iron.

I recently purchased a set for frixion pens. Haven't used them. I have several black ones that I love. I usually prefer to iron out the marks.
