    Today's Auction Sale Purchases

Just had to tell you what I got at an auction sale today. Two 25 yard bolts of Roc Lon unbleached muslin. first one $55. second one $42.50 and with that was roll of green felt DH can use on the bottom of bowls he makes, a few yards of Ada cloth that I sold for $5 and a bunch of interfacing I gave to a lady. bought two boxes of fabric, mostly reproduction, FQ size pieces or with a little bit cut out. 144 in one and 154 in the other. Found 3 rulers and a set of June Tailor circles. I did good!

You sure did do good. Have fun. I see a book for American Doll Quilts. Maybe you can use your vintage fabrics to make some. I know I sure would.

Looks like you had fun but I'm not sure you got a very good deal on the muslin, unless I misunderstood your post. The Rock-lon 45" stuff is on sale at JoAnn now for $2.09 per yard. The regular price is 2.99 but when you use a 50% off coupon it is only 1.50 per yard. However if you got all that other fabric and felt included with the muslin then you did get a great deal.

I just love auctions i have picked up a few vintage sewing machines for less than 25 dollars sometimes things go real cheap and another day they are sky high person just never knows i usually read the ads in the paper and decide if i want to go or not.

Roc lon? isn't that used for curtain backing? If so, is it usable for quilting? We use it at work for stuff because it tears square in both directions.

The FQs are really cool and the doll quilt book is waiting for some of that fabric!

I've only been to an auction once or twice. I think I'm afraid I'll buy something without knowing I did. LOL! Looks like you did well. Enjoy your bargains.
