Congratulations, Kim! I bought the same Bailey package you did a little while ago, and you won't regret it. I started with a shortarm setup back in 2003 and I loved it! I had been wanting a longarm but could not afford one with bells and whistles on it. I heard about Bailey from a post by Tashana and looked into it carefully. The cost was quite decent and the machine is a great basic machine. It did take a learning curve but it is over and I am so thrilled with it. I've made a practice quilt sandwich with different threads/weights and two Quilts of Valor so far. The biggest adjustment I had to make was the tension. The shortarm required loose tension. Bailey uses relatively tight tension but it works well. Also, keep in mind the machine comes without feeddogs, so batting is a must.

The Majastic frame is a real dream once it is set up; I made my own leaders.

Be sure to join the forum that is run for the Bailey owners and wannabe owners. Good information there.

Congrats! I just purchased a Bailey 15 recently and this w/e will be first time I get to play with it (hubby's hunting) got a quilt loaded and ready to go! I too am really looking forward to learning to use mine. Happy quilting
