From what I see, the Juki 2010Qi, does not have variable speed. Someone else can correct me if this isn't the only reason. There may be something else I missed.

So got back from Orlando yesterday and my Juki was here!!! YAY!!! I've played around with it some today and am already in love with it. No regret whatsoever for biting the bullet and making the purchase. Now if only I could figure out how to use the *&^($!^%$ needle threader! I gave up and threaded it myself.

Be very careful with your seam allowances. Sometimes jumping midstream from on DSM to another the seam allowances will differ. Good Luck !!

I can't figure out the threader either. I've had my Juki 4 days. It's awesome. Have fun!

see if this helps with the needle threading. That was the only thing I had trouble learning too. The manual is confusing, watching some videos should do the trick. Enjoy your new toy, I mean TOOL

LOL.. that gets most of us.. I have 2 machines down right now and it drives me crazy as I use different machines for differnet things, like one is my workhorse and another for light work, another one as back up and then I hate to use my embroidery machine for anything else..

KimS - Thank you for posting the link to Ebay. I'm planning on purchasing a Juki really soon and this seller does offer it at a lower price. Thanks for sharing the link and for saving me $100.00!!! I'm excited for you (and also for me really soon!).

Thank you!! Worked like a charm. I was trying to make it much more difficult than it actually was. My husband and I are a MAC Tools distributor so I always remind him he has a truck full of tools so it's only fair I have a couple of "tools" myself. Gets him every time. LOL!!!
