Yes, that sounds like a great way to do this. Have a question for sewers that have the Phaff 7570 with embroidery. I have installed the software and have went with a serial 25 pin adapter to a usb. Have checked the pc and it recognizes the sm. It shows a pc and sm on the sewing machine screen. Adjusted the buffers in the transfer rate. Still can not get it to format a blank card and load a design to a blank card. I am hitting send stitch file like the manual says. I am very knowledgable and have built my own pc. I checked all the drivers are installed correctly. Any suggestions? Have also put it on 1.1 for a better transfer. the computer is Windows 98 with ram upgraded.

I prefer unpieced backing so after conversation with long armer. Long armer was complaining about where seams met coinciding with seams on the back and breaking needles or throwing the arm out of line. If you haven't got any or can't get any then piecing is your only answer.
