Default Traveling in southern Wisconsin in June—which shops are “don’t miss” sites?

I will be driving our daughter to a summer program in Beloit, WI, in June, and will have some time to visit a few quilt shops there, in Janesville, and/or in Madison. There are So Many Shops in that area. Which would you consider “don’t miss”, and why?

I hope to hit Missouri Star Quilts on the way home, too. And my husband wonders why I was keen to drive up...

Mill House Quilt Shop in Waunakee WI, just outside of Madison about 14 miles. Love that shop, have not had the opportunity to visit there in years. Always was a must stop when visiting that area.

there is a quilt shop in southern MN just east of where I35 and I90 cross, so if you are going that way, it's very worth stopping at. It seems real small when you walk in, but there are several rooms behind the first one that are filled with lots of wonderful quilting stuff.

There is one downtown Beloit called Attic Quilts. There are a few in Janesville that are nice also. If time permits you should drive to Nancy’s notions. It’s about a 2 hr drive. Beloit also has an angel museum you should check out. The butterfly club is also a great place to eat. Rockford is also a great place for tourists but too much traffic for me.

Blue Bar Quilts and The Electric Needle are my favorites in Madison! Great shops with super nice proprietors!

ETA: since you'll be in dairy country, if you like ice cream I highly recommend trying Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Co in Madison, they are delicious!
