Default Tri-recs ruler

I wanted this set of rulers and waited until JoAnns had a good sale. I bought them, now I don't know what pattern I wanted them for. What quilt patterns are these used for please? Refresh my memory or please send a link to a pattern for them. Thanks-Toogie

Storm at sea is one pattern made easier by these rulers--the long-pointed triangles in the outer pieces of each block. "Long triangles" as opposed to the 45-90-45 degree triangles in the rest of the block.

Do you need any other ruler to make a Storm at Sea?

Bonnie Hunter used them in her mystery quilts. I think she has her own ruler now. I think they are mainly used for the triangle in a square. Very handy for that.

Tennessee Waltz uses these rulers. It's on my to do list. Pinterest has lots of examples. Here's a link to one so you can see what it looks like but changing the color placements can really change it up. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/337770040788685221/

And here's a video for these rulers.

The 54-40 or fight block uses the TIS unit, and is featured in several quilts. Liz Porter made a quilt for her daughter called Emily's Wedding quilt that used the block, and Tennessee Walts also uses it.

Maybe it's the 54-40 or Fight block?
