    There are several ways to do this, none are right or wrong, do it the way you like it.

    no worries. it will look fine to whom ever it's going to. seriously, it is beautiful.
    here is one i did. long. the shorter one looked better though. more like the pattern.

    I checked each piece with the pattern and I have got it exactly the way they have it and now I have sewn it together. Thanks for all the help and compliments. [ATTACH=CONFIG]583093[/ATTACH]
