Ok i am involved in some charm square swaps and cutting them is taking forever! I think I got in over my head! Anyways, I am used to template cutting so rotary cutting is a bit new to me (I usually rotary cut my borders) but squares are taking forever! Are there any tricks?

stack your fabric and buy one of those rulers that has holes at every inch so you can cut a bunch at once without lifting your ruler.

Or stack your fabric and use a square up ruler. I made 7 baby quilts with 2 1/2 inch squares and cut 2 1/2 inch strips and then stacked and cut 2 1/2 inch to make the square.

Yes, K. by all means invest in a June Tailor Short Cuts. The slits are 1/2 inch apart. I use it all the time for cutting squares, cutting sashings, etc.
