Trouble slowing down my sewing machine

I can't seem to slow my sewing machine down I barely touch the pedal and it sews much too fast for me.Does anyone have any sugestions for me?

Your speedcontrol switch might have gone out, or your foot pedal could be the problem. If this is a new occurrence, I would suggest you take it in to be serviced. Hope this helps.

On your foot pedal, is there a little dial to control speed? Some have it there, or as a high/low setting. On my last Kenmore, it was on the front of the machine.

I turn my foot pedal upside down and sew this way. I seem to have more control.
