Trust your intuition, Duh!!

Yesterday I started a project redesigning a neckline on a shirt for a man who needed special help. My mind has is all figured out. I sewed it on and it was a fail. I unstitched it and resewed it a second time; again a fail. My THIRD attempt and it was another FAIL!!! Accepting defeat for the night and feeling totally inept about clothing design, even though I have experience up the ying-yang, I threw this shirt in the corner and stomped off to bed.
I picked up this uncooperative shirt tonight and took one look at where I had left off last night; gave myself a giant head slap. Either the sewing fairies had came in the middle of the night and fixed it, or my frustration after the first two attempts got the better of me and I could not "see" that it was right as it was sewn.
What I am trying to say is to "walk away" before it gets the better of you. I'm glad I stomped off before I did some irrepairable damage, caused by frustration.
