I didn't see the post but if you have an iPhone, iPad or smartphone you can download Robert Kaufman's app, QuickCalc. Terrific little program that lets you find what sizes to cut for HSTs, QSTs, square in square, and lots more.

I found something, but not sure this is what you want---This is all about charms (5" squares). It is from a link within a thread, which was reached by another link in another thread, if you follow what I mean. The first thread is "Am I the only one that enjoys the math?", and within it is a link to "Quilting Charts" thread (from Fabriclovr), and within that thread is a link to what you want, which is:
www.minnesotacharms.com/charmtips.htm
I wish I knew how to just put it here in blue for you, but I don't.
Hey! It just went blue all by itself, and it works! Yay!

There's been some very good threads lately here on the QB ... use the search function at the top of the page and you'll be able to find them.
Another source, I believe quiltville.com has the info ... look down the right side of the page.
