It really only needs about 5 1/2 inch border, but I made mine 6. Because I was adapting all the measurements, I was worried about not having enough border to cut the twister. I drew a few blocks out on freezer paper before I started. I'm very visual, and very insecure.

I have an extra 6 inch square ruler I picked up for a song at Tuesday Morning last week. I think I'll try drawing the center angle intersection on it using my 3.5 as a pattern, then try it out on paper. Great idea. I think the 3.5 inch is quite small to work with.

Very cute. I am in the middle of making a quilt with the twister. It is my plan to do the same thing. I just need to clear my plate to get back to it. :roll:
