I've been wanting to make the quilt on the cover of this book with just 2 fabrics. However I agree with Quilter7x that you may not have enough contrast for this pattern.

Any arrangement of Drunkard's Path...and there are hundred's of them...is great for a two color quilt. Or search Google images for two color quilts and pick one you like the looks of.

what about something like this? I used all purple, but you could easily use 2 colors. It is done like a string quilt, just plan where your stripes go. Very easy to do.

hope I posted the right pic!

How about Grandmother's Fan or Dresden Plate and alternate the colors of the blades. You would have to use another color for the center though--- a lighter shade of the same color??

I agree with someone earlier who suggested hunter's star. I am hand quilting a scrappy batik hunter's star now and I can see it in two colors easily.

I don't want something really complicated, nor something very simple and would prefer not to add any more fabrics. any suggestions on what blocks/patterns would be good for just two fabrics?
Thanks!!!
Check Quilter's Cache - they have scads of designs with two colors. Merry Christmas. Edie

There are some quilt patterns in Elenore Burns book 'Day & Night' that are made in only two colors. I did one in navy and teal last year and it really did come out nice.
