What an neat way to start my morning. Reading your story is coo;/ I think the quilts that you make now will have these two wonderful women, helping you from the other side. I am like the others, show us the pictures and above all enjoy the experinces that you have ahead!!

Those flutterbys look soooo familiar. I bet there were more papers than just the KC Star which printed that pattern. I'm sure I slept under just such a quilt. Thanks for the memories, and congratulations on the two great surprises. I too am eager to see what kind of machine you'll be getting.

Thanks for sharing the picture of the Butterfly quilt. Your idea of making the sashings smaller to be able to finish the quilt top sounds like an excellent one. Congratulations on getting both the lovely quilt and the sewing machine. I know you treasure both of them. By the way, did you get any of the doll clothes?

This will look great with the sashings cut smaller. Love the butterflies.

Note the large sashing and the nice aplique work.
I have a quilt that my mother made using the same butterfiies. I just love it. she used smaller sashings.. she didn't make many quilts
