I have a 15-year old Kenmore, still runs great. I bought it when my 20 something Kenmore finally quit running.
I'm thinking of buying a new machine tho and plan to go to different shops where they sell machines and try them all out before I make up my mind. Good luck.

I have a new Brother for piecing, and a BabyLock Quilter's Pro on a frame for quilting. My DH has a Brother that's about 3 years old (my previous machine), and our backup is a really cheapo Brother purchased at WalMart that DH sewed on for about 18 months until I passed him the next one. I also have an Elna Grasshopper that needs to be put together and tuned up. Can't wait to get it done, but need $$ to do that! :-)

I have a Janome 9700 Combination Embroidery/Sewing machine--love it... I also have a much older Kenmore that it light weight and I take it to classes or when my clubs are working on projects--runs great still. And I have a Kenmore surger--It was a gift and I still have problems using it. One day I will master it--if I am still around...

I have a Viking Mega Quilter on the Grace frame, a Viking Designer SE embroider machine, a Singer 301, a featherweight and an OLD Hartland that I am trying to find info on. And I also have another 301, soon going to Billy and a 1920 something treadle. I don't know how the old ones keep finding their way to my house! LOL

The ones I use the most are Pfaff, Husqvarna Mega, and Brother 1500.

A Janome 6500, Jnaome Jem Gold and the rest are vintage Singer 301, Singer Feather Weight, green Elna, Bernina 380, Singer treadle 201 and red eye. There are some more in there but those are the ones I seem to prefer.

Primary is my Elna 7200 Quilter's Dream Pro. Backup is a Singer Quantum Futura CE-200 Sewing & Embroidery machine. Vacation & bobbin winder machine is an old Euro Pro Denim Deluxe mechanical. I also have a very cheap, crappy mini White machine that wouldn't even make a good paper-weight. I also have a quilting machine--a Voyager 17 SLR on a Superquilter Pro-Flex frame.

I have 2 Juki TL 98QEs, a jeans machine, a quilter's star, and my 1st sewing machine, Singer 328K w/ fashion discs for fancy stitches, Hubby bought it for me in Nov. 1963. Works like a dream.
