Ultra Sateen??
#1

I want to handquilt a wholecloth quilt for a baby's christening. Has anyone handquilted with Robert Kaufman's ultra sateen? If you have, is it easy to needle?
I appreciate any and all advice.

when using sateen fabrics a fine sharp needle is important-
i used a needle specified for silks-and did dull & have to change needles twice doing a full size quilt (but that could have been because of the batting/backing as much as because of the sateen.
a good sharp needle is the key though.
i would (did) make a small sandwich and do some experimenting-
before i started mine i changed batts 4 times before i found the one that i liked- was working along with my sateen top & batik back.
