I know its early but I thought maybe we could try to plan a Postcard Exchange for some unique February holidays since it would be kinda weird to send each other Valentines. lol You would need to sign up and PM me your address by 12/31/08. You would then just need to make your postcard and send it out to your person in time for them to recieve it for the holiday that you choose.

11th- White t-shirt Day (whhooohoooo)
12th- Abraham Lincoln's Bday

That sounds like fun - do we pick one to do, or how would that work?

Here's one source about making fabric postcards: http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltpa...c_postcard.htm

After everyone signs up I'll assign you a person to send your postcard to. You get to pick any of the holidays in February to make your postcard for and send it out before that date.

Yes, you make them from fabric. Chele listed a good site for directions.

I found out what Hoodie Hoo Day is. Go figure!

Hoodie-Hoo-Day -- At high noon (local time) citizens are asked to go outdoors and yell "Hoodie-Hoo" to chase winter and make ready for spring, one month from now.

Can't believe February will be here before you know it!!!!
Do you have any sites with ideas for fabric postcards?
I would like to do this and will think on it, however I am feeling a bit overwhelmed right now with the holiday projects.

There will be plenty of time after Christmas to put a postcard together. I know how you feel about the holiday projects but then after Christmas when the winter blahs kick in, I thought this would be a fun project.

I'll look around for some sites. I know Chele has already posted one but I'll look for some others.

Go on, take the plunge!
