How cool is that!!! Great fabric.

I've got two wood luggage racks in the back of a closet. I bet I could turn one of them into something like this pretty easily.

Yep, they make great decorative tables....Yours is very pretty....Mine is very utilitarian looking as I used ironing board fabric and made one to go next to my sewing machine for ironing the small pieces....Works great!!

This is a great idea! especially if you're doing something that's fiddly (paper piecing??) and you're pressing contstantly.

Please keep safety in mind, ladies and gents!

Unless your wooden or plastic TV trays are a lot more stable than any I've had or seen, I'd be worried that the iron could go flying all too easily. Fire hazard? or burning yourself, family or pets?

Using plastic for an ironing board, even when it is covered, is more of a risk than I'd want to take.

    Please be careful everyone

I had an old table in the garage but it was just not sturdy, so i went to Walmart and bought this one. This one is bigger and a lot sturdier,I just painted the legs black because the table was some yucky brown. It was $12.00

I've been using one of these for quite a while. My son had 2 that he picked up at Wal-Mart for about $8. He was moving and didn't want to take them so I grabbed one. I used an old towel for the bottom and a simple piece of flannel for the top. It was large enough that I just secured it with large safety pins. It sits by my machine when I'm doing small projects or blocks. Folds up easily and goes back in the closet when not in use. Another great thing to look for in your thrift store shopping....

Darn, I just gave away a set of wooden TV trays that had smooth flat tops. Now I will have to find me one at a garage sell as I could really use a little table like that.
