    if you are happy with your method why stress over it? I've used it for hand piecing, Linda Franz recommended it before she invented herInklingo process. Do what works for you!

    I like to use seam tape that washes away to hold my seams exactly where I want them. I use it for tricky seams with points the most. When I piece on a straight stitch machine I don't need that much help keeping an accurate 1/4 seam. The needle is always an exact 1/4 from the edge of the foot. and no feed dogs left sticking out on the right. I use a magnetic seam guide to keep the fabric feeding in a straight line.
