I'm making a cover for my wooden table with a quilted material (yardage), think the padding will be a help. My dealer was very clear that for the MB4 I needed a heavy table for it. We made ours with some metal K legs.

i guess nobody thought to tell you that...BUT there is a way to stop it...you need carpet on the table top! then you machine sits on the carpet..the carpet absorbs the movement, not the machine....I buy the bound samples from the carpet place...usually a nice sized one to fit the table runs about $5

Hmmm....I have mine on a metal double computer desk from work. It is pretty substantial but I have noticed on some designs I have to slow the machine down or I have issues.

My serger sits at the other end and I have it on two layers of the waffled cabinet liner for noise muffling. I may try adding some to under my embroidery machine. It never moves but I wonder if it gets a resonation from the table at certain speeds.

    Thanks.

Yes, machines have to level and on a sturdy table. Some of the machine are very sensitive.
