Has anyone used varigated thread for machine quilting? Does anyone have any pics too? I would love to use it on my christmas quilt since there are many colors and wondered what it would like like?

I use variegated thread all the time in my machine quilting. I think it helps to tie all the colors of the quilt together.
I don't know where any close up pictures are at the moment (that and I'm trying to get dinner cooked)

google King Tut thread, it is made by Superior Threads, they have an awesome website with lots of educational info. I stitched one out today, red, green and yellow gold, if you are interested PM me and I will get the name and number of the color. It is stitched out on denim so you won't see the color very well but I will try to get a picture tomorrow.

Here are a couple close ups of the one I did. This was my very first quilt and first hand quilting. The back isn't real clear in this pic.

Totally agree about King Tut - beautiful thread colours and great to use. I use quite a bit of variegated, here's one

I also used a lovely pastel variegated on a baby quilt, but dont have a pic of that yet.
